about

Closest we ever came to writing one from a "jam." I was trying to demonstrate to everybody what Kelly Stoltz sounded like (not that he sounds like this), and this came out kinda fully formed. Couple weeks later: song.

lyrics

SHA LA LA

G F
Sha la la la la la la baby
G
Don’t seem like you know where you’re
F
Head is lately
C G
You been looking for the answers in the sky
C
When it’s all beneath you –
G
Just like your brand new boy

G F
Sha la la la la la la baby
G F
Not my place but who the hell’s it should be?
C
You seem to always forget then regret your
G
charities
C
If he’s six feet tall like you said well I’m seven
G
three

D G
Not that it should matter much
C G
Not that I should care…
D G C
Not that he should bother me so…or what you
D
do with your hair…

G F
Sha la la la la la la baby
G F
If it helps a little I can get back on one knee
C
I always thought I could survive with you out
G
there running free
C
But free is evidently not the way that you’re
G
gonna be

G F
Sha lalalalalalalalallalalala baby
G F
I understand your pity thing completely
C
Cause I’m sure it was the path that brought me
G
To your life
C
& So the breadcrumbs are already there
G
For all these hungry new boys

D G
Not that it should matter much
C G
Not that I should care…
D G C
Not that he should bother me so…or what you
D
do with your hair…

G F
Sha la la la la la la baby…

(INSTR: repeat verse pattern: G-F 2x to C-G 2x twice)

D G
Not that it should matter much
C G
Not that I should care…
D G
Not that he should bother me so…
C G
What did you do-o-o-o with your hair…?
